2006 : Participation à Revenge of the Ayeronauts 2005 : Participation à "None of us is pink"
"EYE 2 EYE appeared in the year 2006 with a slightly different spelling, and a first album published on the Musea label, "One In Every Crowd". About three years later, this French band comes back with a new singer and a new bass player, for a second effort called "After all...". Here's the same type of music as before, with improved ingredients, especially as far as melodies are concerned. Although still influenced by early MARILLION or PENDRAGON albums, without mentioning the "first generation" of GENESIS or PINK FLOYD, EYE 2 EYE has firmly established its own personality. With three pieces lasting a quarter of an hour (Three on the present album !), the musicians prefer complex and ambitious pieces. They also like bombastic keyboards, beautiful and lyrical guitar parts, enhanced by a precise and sober rhythm section. Here's a well-balanced music, with delicacy and power in the same time. All neo Progressive lovers, and also fans of David GILMOUR, will certainly find "After all..." delightful. Excellent stuff !"
Recorded between September 2003 and May 2006, "One in Every Crowd" reveals 9 tracks chained to each other. Although not a concept album, each title presents a face of the complexity of human relationships, their meeting, their passions, their fears and their desires. Eye to Eye takes this opportunity to make a little nod to Arjen Lucassen (AYREON), with a very personal adaptation of "Back on planet earth" (from the album Actual Fantasy). This title had originally been recorded for inclusion on the tribute album "Revenge of the Ayreonauts", published in early 2006. Released by MUSEA (FGBG4683) , "One in every crowd" challenges to combine energy and chiseled melodies.

During 2005, EYE 2 EYE participated in the “Neptune Pink Floyd Tribute”, called “None of us is Pink”. They covered David GILMOUR’s song “Near the End”, that appeared on the “About Face” album, in 1984… “None of us is Pink” is a triple album that can be free downloaded on the Neptune Pink Floyd site: Neptune Pink Floyd.
The same year, they took part in an AYREON tribute album, called “Revenge of the Ayreonauts”. They decided to cover “Back on Planet Earth” from AYREON’s second album “Actual Fantasy”, in a more ambient mood, which Mr Arjen LUCASSEN did appreciate… “Revenge of the Ayreonauts” was released in the beginning of 2006. Finally, EYE 2 EYE decided to put this track on their first album “One in every Crowd”…
